Murphy’s Quiz on Tuesday 22 September 2026

Three new teams and sixteen teams of die hard pub quiz fans tried to answer my 48 questions yesterday in Murphy’s Law.

Overall, the results were considerably better than in last week’s quiz, with Promotion Square scoring a perfect 12 points in history and science&nature, and several teams scoring 11 points in two consecutive rounds.

Some of my questions were hugely popular (especially the one about Nelson Mandela), others (about the Adidas Wiesn Dirndl, Coffee Club Island and the Davis Cup) less so….

One team was totally unstoppable last night, they did not break their personal record of 45 out of 48 points, but they came close. Congratulations to the winners: Matthias, Michael, Roland, Sezayi und Stefan! 🤩🤩🤩

Team 101 won whiskeys for coming second, Soko Guinness the pitcher of beer and Ränkl Rebels the booby prize. 🍺🥂🍬

Honourable mention for Adequate Tools, who scored 34 points and nearly managed to enter the top 5, even though they were only two of them!

Kofferquiz am Mittwoch 16.9.2026

Gestern war meine Stimme etwas angeschlagen und ich wusste nicht, ob sie 3,5 Stunden durchalten würde. Ich möchte mich nochmal ganz herzlich bedanken bei Thomas (Little Quiz Sunshine und Quizmaster bei Kneipenquiz Schwabach) , der sich bereit erklärte einszuspringen, falls notwendig. 😍

Aber es hat geklappt, ihr wart sogar ziemlich ruhig und wenn nicht, hat die eine oder andere kräftige Stimme ‚Ruuuhe!‘ gebrüllt. 😆

Das Quiz war sehr, sehr spannend. Es wechselten sich die Absuis und der Nürnberger, Little Quiz Sunshine, Neptungarten, 4 Gewinnt, Wir von Nebenan und Frauenpower (mit einem Herrn als Neuzugang!) an der Spitze der Tabelle ab.

Mit einem grossartigen Ergebnis von 10 Punkten in Sport und Verschiedenes, sicherten sich die Absuis und der Nürnberger den Sieg und 2/3 des Jackpots mit 46 Punkten. Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Jungs! 👏👏👏

Wir von Nebenan gewannen als Zweitplatzierten 1/3 des Geldes, Just 4 Fun die Runde gratis Getränke und Koffer voller Halbwissen den Trostpreis.

Das Sonderthema für das nächste Mittwochsquiz, vorgeschlagen von Rotstiftmilieu, ist… Bonnie Tyler!

Murphy’s Quiz on Tuesday 15 September 2026

Great results in the first half of the quiz, with 12 points for Promotion Square in Science&Nature and Geography, 13 points (!) For Adequate Tools in Art&Literature and Music.👏👏👏

The questions got more challenging in the second half of the evening, with some unpopular topics such as field hockey and tasty sandwiches from Louisiana… Still, points were scored thanks to the Spanish royals, Käptn Blaubär and… Thor!

In the end, four chess-loving young(ish) men won the quiz, beating three of their strongest rivals – 101s, Emmy and Wombats – by one single point! Congratulations, guys!

Emmy won whiskeys in the play-off, 101s had already won the pitcher of beer, and two teams shared the booby prize: Team Elena and Les Quizerables.

Oh, and James got us quizmasters a brand new microphone, which means your ears will not be tortured so much anymore in the near future. Thank you, Mr Farrell! ❤️

It was clear that Lena and Julian had put in a lot of effort in the preparation of their first quiz in Murphy’s Law as quizmasters. 😍

The questions were certainly challenging enough – the winning team scored 33 out of 48 points – the picture round was, in my humble opinion, fantastic and the music round very… feminist 😁

Well done, all you quizzers, and well done, Lena and Julian!

Kofferquiz am Dienstag 8.9.2026

Die 10 neue Teams gestern in der Kofferfabrik schlugen sich sehr tapfer im legendär-schweren Dienstagsquiz. Es waren aber 2 Routiniers, die nach 4 Runden mit jewels 20 Punkten führten…: die Gibbsköpfe und Little Quiz Sunshine.

Und dann schwächelten unsere Titelverteidiger, Little Quiz Sunshine, holten ’nur‘ 6 Punkte in Geschichte und Musik, und machten den Weg frei für die Gibbsköpfe, die 10 Punkte erzielten! Die 5 erfahrene Quizzer konnten ihren Vorsprung sogar noch ausbauen und siegten am Ende mit 46 Punkten. Eine grossartige Leistung, Jungs und Judith!

Knights of Knowledge Reloaded lösten das Super Extra Quiz nach 3 (!) Tipps, die Pfesels gewannen den Trostpreis.

Das Sonderthema für das nächste  Dienstagsquiz, vorgeschlagen von den Leezenritter, ist die Stadt Münster. City Trip fällig?

Kofferquiz am Montag 31.8.2026

Nach eine 33 Tage Quizpause freuten sich die 24 Teams  in der Kofferfabrik auf 60 (+1) Fragen, von der relativ viele auch über das Geschehen in den letzten 4 Wochen handelten (König Haakon, Yayoi Kusama, Dolly Parton, Marco Brenner, …).

Drunken Quizzers (bekannt aus Murphy’s Law) und Neptungarten (mit Geheimwaffe Uwe) erzielten 11 Punkte in Geografie und Aktualität und gaben den Ton für ein spannendes Rennen an. Es kamen noch Gin Tonic (7 Punkte in Musik!), Vollnarkose, Little Quiz Sunshine, Wir von Nebenan, Just 4 Fun, Auf Sand Gebaut und Zufallstreffer dazu.

Es gab leider ein paar Nullrunden, in Kunst&Literatur, Film&Fernsehen und Sport 🙈 und die Fränkischen Ratwürste holten nur drei Punkte im von ihnen vorgeschlagenen Sonderthema, die Mongolei. Dafür gewannen die lustigen Würstchen aber die Runde gratis Getränke! 🍺🍷☕️🥃🍸

Am Ende siegte eine Mannschaft sehr souverän, mit 4 Punkten vor den Teams , die sich Platz 2 teilten. Es war…🥁🥁🥁 Neptungarten! Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Alex, Antje, Karin, Sigrid und Uwe!

Das Sonderthema für das nächste Montagsquiz, vorgeschlagen von Just 4 Fun, ist der Honigdachs, der deutlich Bob Dylan und die Punische Kriege in der Abstimmung schlug 😁.
