Sieben neue Mannschaften am Start und zwei von denen schafften es, mehr als 40 Punkte zu holen!

Nach Runde 6 belegten Biggus Diggus ft Blue Monkey und die Besten Platz 1 und 2 mit 28 und 27 Punkten. Dann beantworten Mario, Jörg, Hans-Jürgen und noch 2 schlaue Quizzer alle Fragen im Sonderthema (MoMA New York) und Film&Fernsehen richtig und konnte kein Team sie noch vom Sieg abhalten… mit einem Superergebnis von 50 Punkten gewann Biggus Diggus ft Blue Monkey das Dienstagsquiz.

Geteilter zeiter Platz war für die Besten und Senioren ohne Gott gegen Faschismus. Ich entschied mich aber gegen den Sonderthemavorschlag von den Senioren ‚Gelsenkirchner Barock‘ (!) und ließ die Teilnehmer die Wahl zwischen ‚eine schrecklich nette Familie‘, ‚Graf Dracula‘ und ‚Pandas‘. Die Mehrheit wollte die Serie um Al Bundy als Spezialthema für das Quiz am Dienstag am 4. Juni.

Die neue Mannschaft ‚die da drüben‘ gewannen die Runde gratis Getränke und ‚W-Town Girls‘ freuten sich über den Trostpreis. Danke an allen Teilnehmer für einen tollen Quizabend!

Murphy’s Law  7.5.2024

So I think I made good on last week’s promise to prepare easier questions this time. Lots of rounds in which one or more teams scored 6 points : geography, film&tv, history, art&literature and even in my notorious music round 😃. Most of you seemed to enjoy the ‚One Hit Wonders‘. As one young man put it: „Great music round, even if I didn’t know any answers“.

I for one had ‚Born to be alive‘ in my head all the way home to Schnaittach…

At half-time Chicken Attack and Emmy were in the lead with 20 points. Emmy remained strong in the second half of the quiz, but in the end, they had to make way for Neuland and Promotion Square, who finished joined first, with 42 out of a possible 48 points. Congratulations, boys and girls!

The winners of last week’s first booby prize had a different name this time, playing the anonymity card. Well, not only did they win the prize again 😆, they also won the pitcher of beer… a very successful evening indeed!

Tom (101s) knew the answer to the jackpot question –  the song ‚I alone‘ (1994) was released by the alternative rockband ‚Live‘. Matthias (Neuland) and Stefan (Promotion Square), did not, so next Tuesday, with Joni hosting the quiz, the stakes will be a bit higher 😊.

Kofferquiz am Montag 6.5.2024

Was für ein spannendes Quiz in der Kofferfabrik heute…. Vollnarkose fingen an mit voller Punktzahl in Geschichte und Sport und träumten schon vom Sieg, aber die Konkurrenz war stark,  sehr stark…

Biggus Diggus und die Absuis & der Nürnberger zeigten sich von ihrer besten Seite und wurden Erster und Zweiter mit 51 (Biggus Diggus) und 49 (Absuis) Punkten.

Twilight Zone gewannen das Super Extra Quiz (Dom Helder Camara) und die Runde gratis Getränke.

Nachdem es im Sonderthema (die Pest) heute nicht so gut lief, außer für Blue Monkey 🐒,  hoffen wir mal, dass die Balearen euch in Juni weniger Problemen bereiten.

Murphy’s Quiz 30.4.2024

Yesterday’s quiz was, without any doubt, the hardest Anna-quiz of the last 15 years in Murphy’s Law… And still…. more than half of Erlangen’s finest quiz teams managed to answer at least half of my killer questions correctly and some teams even scored six points in history, geography and art&literature 😊.

Specially difficult were the music round (based around six of the seven deadly sins: pride, lust, sloth, gluttony, envy,  greed) and the miscellaneous round (ever heard of  ophidiophobia or of Simon Harris?). I did learn that many of the quizzers are early risers, as they knew that the sun rose at 5:55 in Erlangen yesterday morning.

Promotion Square, who took the lead with 11 points in the two first rounds, were never seriously threatened. They won the quiz with 35 points out of a possible 48. Congratulations!

Team Emmy did not only get the whiskeys, they had already won the pitcher of beer, too. Perhaps Bernd should rethink his teetotalness  🤣.

Next Tuesday the quiz will definitely be easier, folks. I promise 😇.
